Typically, it is recommended that students begin taking the SAT or ACT during the spring of their junior year, to maximize the exposure to higher-level math and science; however, BlueSpark recommends beginning to take the SAT or ACT during the spring of your sophomore year. This gives additional opportunities to earn the highest sub-score in each area for NCAA eligibility purposes.
